First imagine you are in a dark room.
You put your hand in front of your face.
You cannot see it. It's too dark
It is raining outside. The heavy and noisy kind.
You can barely hear yourself think.
Its raining, raining, raining
Now imagine the air around you
Its wet and humid and it sticks to your skin
Cold. That's your first thought.
Now, you see a slit of light.
looks like its coming from the other room.
You see it flickering. Do you step out?
off. on. off. off. on....
It goes on.
It calls to you. Slowly but surely, you get up.
You feel around and walk towards the light.
Nausea creeps up as the door doesn't seem to come nearer
After what feels like forever, you reach the door
The door knob feels cold.
Very cold. It stings your skin.
Why is it you can hear your heart beat in your ears?
You turn the knob. Half hoping it doesn't give way.
But lo and behold, it opens into a long hallway.
You know the kind you see in hospitals that seem to go forever.
The lights are still flickering.
Your eyes hurt. Trying to get used to the lights.
on. off. on. off. on.
Where do you think you are?
The walls look yellow from years of disuse
You don't remember anything.
Not your name.
Not who you are.
Just a nameless stranger even to yourself.
You search your pockets.
sweat is forming on your body.
the hallway seems unnaturally warm and humid.
your pockets seem to contain a key and a picture of two people hugging.
Who is this?
The back of the photo a note saying good luck!
Who are these people?
You decide to continue walking down the alley.
You pass one room
two room
three room
four room
all the rooms are numbered......
the one you just walked out of
that was marked 'Chamber Zero'
why was it the only one called chamber?
the others had room crudely hammered into the metal doors
As you continue walking, you realise some of them have blood stains.
Where are you?
Are there people inside these rooms as well?
You ask yourself, if they are still 'human'
You reach a mirror.
You notice that one of the person in the earlier picture is you
But somehow your reflection seems wrong
like its distorted in some way.
Who is this other person?
Why are you in this place?
The rain is still hammering the roof.
If anything, the sound got stronger the moment you left the room.
You look around. Cold. Hungry. It feels like a new sensation.
You take one last look in the mirror and leave.
As you turned to walk, A hand grabs your shoulder.
You turn.
